Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative (MBZWI) will be sharing the ongoing XPRIZE Water Scarcity. XPRIZE Water Scarcity is a $119 million, 5-year global competition designed to drive widespread access to clean water by creating reliable, sustainable, and affordable seawater desalination systems. If successful, it will significantly help reduce the risk of water scarcity and help alleviate water stress worldwide, while protecting the environment.
Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative (MBZWI) has also officially launched the Al Miyah Challenge, a new global competition series designed to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative water technologies. The first edition, titled Al Miyah Challenge for Agriculture, aims to tackle water scarcity in farming by supporting solutions that reduce water consumption while maintaining or improving crop yields.
