Purpose and Objectives of the Site Visit to Coca-Cola Bottling Plant and IWK Langat

This site visit aims to offer participants valuable insights into cutting-edge practices in water sustainability, wastewater management, and operational efficiency, as demonstrated by two prominent facilities: the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant and the Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) Langat Centralised Sewage Treatment Plant. Through this visit, attendees will gain first-hand exposure to the integration of sustainable technologies and practices in industrial and utility settings.

Key Objectives:

  1. Understanding Water Stewardship in Manufacturing:
    a. Explore Coca-Cola’s innovative water management practices, including water efficiency, recycling, and reuse, to ensure sustainable bottling operations.


    b. Learn about the company’s commitment to water stewardship and its efforts to minimise its environmental footprint while maintaining product quality.

  2. Exploring Advanced Wastewater Management Solutions:
    a. Visit the IWK Langat facility to understand the processes behind effective wastewater treatment and its contribution to protecting Malaysia’s water resources.


    b. Examine how cutting-edge technologies and management strategies are employed to meet environmental compliance and enhance resource recovery.

  3. Fostering Knowledge Exchange:
