Join this transformative masterclass, led by the founders of TeamSolve—a team of experienced second-time startup entrepreneurs from Visenti. Now at the forefront of innovation, TeamSolve is redefining water operations with cutting-edge Generative AI. With over two decades of expertise in digital water transformation, this session offers hands-on, practical learning guided by accomplished industry leaders.

This training is designed for all stakeholders in the water ecosystem, including utilities, policymakers, operators, engineers, contractors, consultants and industry professionals in Singapore and beyond. Easy to understand where no prior technical proficiency e.g. computer science or coding is required.

 

Course Topics

1. Introduction to Generative AI for Water Operations

• The rapid evolution of Generative AI: capabilities and limitations.

• Practical applications of Generative AI in water operations.

• Data requirements: quality vs. quantity, curated vs. big data, and onboarding ease.

• Mitigating challenges: addressing inaccuracies, ethical concerns, and governance.

• Core techniques:

o Prompt Engineering.

o Fine-tuning.

o RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) 

o Agents

 

2. Demo and Practical Lesson 1: Generative AI and Knowledge Graphs. 

• Hands-on activity comparing responses from Large Language Model (LLM)+RAG with generic LLM for public regulatory documents as well as considerations on contextual accuracies.

• Using Knowledge Graphs combined with LLM for improved knowledge representation,  higher explainability and accuracy and better contextual insights and inferences.

• Examples include:

o Singapore Sewage & Drainage Regulations and Trade Effluent Regulations.

o Using samples of new work order knowledge captured

 

3. Operational Applications & Considerations of Generative AI

Improving preventative and corrective asset maintenance: predictive insights and troubleshooting support.

Streamlining incident response: root-cause analysis and historical alarm insights.

Facilitating seamless staff onboarding and knowledge transfer.

Supporting technical specifications and vendor payment processes with Asset management and work order system insights

Support first-level alarms triage

Leveraging AI for automated reporting and analytics.

 

4. AI and Deep Learning with IoT

Multi-layer neural networks and Deep Learning 

Recurrent neural networks (RNN), LSTM, Convolutional neural networks (CNN) 

Data modelling of time-series sensor data

Data analysis using ChatGPT

Advanced trend and event prediction, e.g. predictive maintenance

 

5. Demo and Practical Lesson 2: Knowledge Capture and Site-Specific Applications

• Interactive exercises on:

o Capturing site-specific and general knowledge.

o Operational usage considerations and functionalities

 

6.  Global Case Studies and Emerging Trends

• Considerations on governance, cybersecurity and data privacy.

• Real-world case studies showcasing successful AI applications in water operations.

 

• Discussion on evolving trends and future innovations in Generative AI.

Preparation Requirements

Participants must bring smartphones with WhatsApp installed. Mobile numbers should be provided at least one week prior to the session for setup and access to AI Copilot.

About the Trainers:

Robin Wong, an executive-turned-entrepreneur with over two decades of global leadership experience in water technology and digital water solutions, including pivotal roles at Xylem and Royal HaskoningDHV. Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of TeamSolve. A seasoned leader in water technologies and digital water solutions, Robin has spearheaded global business development and commercial excellence as a business executive and serves on the executive and steering committees of the SWA and SWAN.

Dr. Mudasser Iqbal, a two-time entrepreneur and MIT TR35 Young Innovator awardee, whose pioneering work has transformed the landscape of Digital twins and AI-powered water management. Founder and CEO of TeamSolve. An innovator in AI and cloud technologies, Mudasser is recognized for his contributions to sustainable solutions, has numerous patents and holds a PhD in Computer Science from Monash University.
